There’s no shortage of dual sim shake and tilt iPhone clones on the market and I either own or have tested nearly all of them. Most differ in small ways. Some have a stylus. Some are dual sim. Some have FM radio, but all are pretty inexpensive and come unlocked (many have the slide unlock feature) so that you can use whichever carrier or plan that you chose. This has saved me loads of money on AT&T’s expensive service.
I believe there are two things that contribute to the huge success of the shake and tilt phones.
First, people are starting to realize the difficulty and expense of always having the latest technology. The newest features change so quickly that what was the best and the brightest just last month can look dated today. The iClones let you have the latest phones in the cheapest way possible, so that when you want to move on to the next big thing, you can do so completely guilt free, since you didn’t spend that much money in the first place.
Second, consumers just love being able to change music and media by shaking the phone. At first, users were not so sure about this shake to the music feature. It was even called “quirky” when it first came out, but now people absolutely love it. I find that it’s among the “must haves” on the iClones right now. This technology means you never to have to look down or scroll around. Plus, you just tilt the phone and it goes to wide screen. So, this phone is very user friendly and intuitive.
The CECT A380 is among the best selling dual sim shake and tilt models. It has: a high resolution 3.0 inch finger touch screen; a built in 1.3 mega pixel digital camera; built in Bluetooth; a built in video camera and player; MP3 / MP4 players; and Java 2.0. This phone does not require any software. It can automatically read most GSM sim cards.
Java 2.0 allows all kinds of productivity and gaming possibilities. There are literally thousands of software and gaming downloads available.
The 380 phone is also dual sim which means that you can use two sim slots with one phone. Consumers typically use this feature so that they can have one number for leisure and one for work.
It also has a removable battery, additional surround sound speakers, slide unlock, expandable memory via micro SD memory cards of up to 2GB, and a stylus.
I have not had any problems with this phone. The sound on the speakers is sharp, loud, and typical of CECT. The camera takes surprisingly nice pictures that are easily edited using only my fingers. This phone has come down in price. You can now get it in the $100 range, sometimes lower.
