This is the mobile messaging application we’ve all been waiting for. AgileMessenger is a multi service chat application that includes ICQ, MSN, AOL, Yahoo!, Jabber and GoogleTalk. This application is smooth, works over edge or wifi, has tons of features, runs in the background more. Yes, running in the background is going to effect your battery but this can be changed in the Preferences. The interface is great and the tab feature works great.

Poker Timer for iPhone - Available in the App Store Application game introduction

iPhone Poker Timer is an application that allows you to “Keep track of your Texas Holdem games with the iPhone Poker Timer. Keep track of your big and small blinds, the current minimum bet, current level, round time and break time.” It will be available via the App Store. Though, there is no indication of what the app will cost.

SixApart introduces native app for pocket TypePad blogging

Next month, among the slew of third-party apps hitting the iPhone’s App Store, blogging tool TypePad will be giving its users a new way to blog on the go. The native application was just announced at Apple’s WWDC Monday morning, but I got a sneak peek at it last week. I think it’s going to be a lifesaver for bloggers who want to monitor and administrate their blogs while away from a laptop or home PC.

eBay gets its own native iPhone app

On Monday, eBay announced and demonstrated its new Auctions app at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Users can log in to their accounts to buy and sell items wherever they are. The app integrates with Webkit, allowing people to write out full descriptions just like they would in Safari, which has been formatted to match the finger-friendly screen. Users can also browse and sort through auction photos the same way they’re used to doing with native albums.

Loopt demos free location-based iPhone app

The location-based social network Loopt, just announced and demoed its native iPhone application onstage at WWDC. The application, which will be free at launch, helps you connect with and find friends around you. Using the location technology built in to the iPhone, Loopt will drop pins onto a map, showing where your friends are.

Nike, Apple and 24 Hour Fitness

Engadget had an article a few days ago that describes Apple teaming up with Nike and 24 Hour Fitness to bring technology to the gym. 24 Hour Fitness has said that they will be launching equipment that works in conjunction with Nike+iPod, allowing members to keep track of their cardio workout. The new equipment is scheduled to be launched in July. Which only makes one wonder if it will be around July 11th. Here is what Engadget is speculating.
