eBay gets its own native iPhone app
On Monday, eBay announced and demonstrated its new Auctions app at Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco. Users can log in to their accounts to buy and sell items wherever they are. The app integrates with Webkit, allowing people to write out full descriptions just like they would in Safari, which has been formatted to match the finger-friendly screen. Users can also browse and sort through auction photos the same way they’re used to doing with native albums.
Loopt demos free location-based iPhone app
The location-based social network Loopt, just announced and demoed its native iPhone application onstage at WWDC. The application, which will be free at launch, helps you connect with and find friends around you. Using the location technology built in to the iPhone, Loopt will drop pins onto a map, showing where your friends are.
WWDC Monday, 3G iPhone to be Unveiled
Well, everyone expects Apple to unveil the 3G iPhone today. There have been sooo many rumors of what is going to be announced and what it is going to look like, that it is enough for your dear editors to go batty.

Nike, Apple and 24 Hour Fitness
Engadget had an article a few days ago that describes Apple teaming up with Nike and 24 Hour Fitness to bring technology to the gym. 24 Hour Fitness has said that they will be launching equipment that works in conjunction with Nike+iPod, allowing members to keep track of their cardio workout. The new equipment is scheduled to be launched in July. Which only makes one wonder if it will be around July 11th. Here is what Engadget is speculating.

News from the field point to iPhone SDK Beta 8 being released as the Golden Master for iPhone software update 2.0. “Golden Master” is the term software developers usually use to denote that the software has been QA tested and is ready for release to the public for general consumption. This news makes sense as the release of the iPhone 3g on July 11 is right around the corner and you’d want the developers to have a stable platform to code against. No news as to feature details have been revealed probably due to the NDA (non-disclosure agreement).

Apple Increasing iPhone Orders to 15 Million
0ur friends over at AppleInsider are reporting that Apple has raised the amount of iPhones originally ordered to a staggering 15 Million. Also in their story, it was interesting to see that 2 million more first generation phones were being ordered.
